What Sobat is

Sobat helps people going the same way find each other and split a cab fare. We are not a ride-hailing company: we have no drivers, no vehicles, and we never process any payment for your ride. You book your own Ola, Uber, or auto, and you settle the fare with your group directly (UPI, cash — however you agree).

Where our responsibility ends

Our part is matching you with compatible riders and helping you meet up safely. Once your group has met and booked a ride, that ride is between you, your group, and the driver — the same as it would be for any group of friends sharing a cab. We don’t track, monitor, or take responsibility for what happens during the ride itself.

Who can use Sobat

You must be 18 or older, provide accurate information, and complete identity verification before your first ride. One account per person.

How to behave

Show up when you say you will. Be honest about your pickup, drop, and how many people you’re bringing. Treat other riders with respect — harassment, threats, or discrimination have no place here and will get your account removed. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe using the report option in your group.

Fare

Any fare split shown in the app is informational only, based on what riders enter — it is not a bill, an invoice, or a guarantee of the actual fare. Settling the fare is entirely between you and your group.

Ratings and content

You’re responsible for what you post — your profile, messages, and ratings. We can remove content or suspend an account that violates these terms or makes the platform unsafe for others.

No warranty

We do our best to match you with people who are actually going your way and who show up, but we can’t guarantee a match, a ride, or another rider’s behavior. Sobat is provided as-is.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, [Company/Entity Name] is not liable for anything that happens once your group has met and arranged its own ride, or for the conduct of any rider you’re matched with.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or on our website at getsobat.in/delete-account.html. We can suspend or remove an account that violates these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the courts of [City, State].
